eHana is looking for software engineers to expand our Boston (Back Bay) office. We develop web-based, hosted software for healthcare and human service organizations -- our customers have purpose and are making the world a better place.

On a day-to-day basis, we use the following technologies - prior experience isn't required but you should be able to pick up new tools quickly:

• Front End: HTML & Javascript: jQuery, and other cross-platform browser libraries
• Back End: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, extensive use of MS SQL Server, BizTalk
• Health industry interoperability standards - HIPAA X12, HL7, CCD

You'll be working within our small, experienced dev team and will have the following responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing high-quality software solutions within our existing application framework
• Developing tools and components for internal eHana use
• Analyzing performance characteristics and optimizing applications (in both code & database) for performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Working with our support staff and end users to resolve customer issues

Qualified candidates need to:

• Be passionate about the web, technology, and learning new skills -- and be able to demonstrate it
• Get things done - thrive in small teams and be comfortable with a high degree of independence
• Be an awesome team communicator, both written and spoken -- no dark-horse cave mode developers here!
• Be familiar with object-oriented concepts and languages
• Have prior experience working with relational databases and SQL

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is great, but not required if you can demonstrate equivalent competency.
